As Hestia walked along with him, she looked at the fading light coming through the windows of the corridors, loving the way everything seemed to glow with warmth at the end of a nice day. She wasn’t a big fan of hot days, but she would say that she loved the ending of one. The air cooling down to a nice warmth, no longer humid but instead actually bearable for her. As they stepped outside she took the opportunity to look up at the changing sky and bask in that wonderful feeling you get in your chest when you see a sunset.
The moment was only interrupted by Fabian’s compliment, which didn’t actually break the mood, but made it even better. She had long since giving up on trying to think of something to say back when he did those sort of things out of the blue, so she just rolled her eyes, nevertheless blushing while doing so. After a few more moments Hestia disturbed the silence. “So is this surprise secretly us going for a wonderful walk?” She smiled, only slightly hiding her actual curiosity. A walk would have been fine by her.
He was smiling brightly at her as she spoke in the silence. “No it’s not! I could convince you to go on a walk with me whenever.” Their hands swung lightly between them as they continued to walk. He pulled her to a stop before kissing her suddenly, pulling away after a moment with a smile. “I swear, I don’t do that near enough.”
He continued to pull her along and led her into a more forested area of the grounds, but not the forbidden forest. It was an area on the edge of the lake, and he had earlier set up a small picnic there, and smiled at her. “See. Not just a walk.” The sun was setting in the distance, and he thought it looked a lot nicer then when he thought of it. Sometimes he could surprise himself.

Hestia glanced up into his eyes, thinking about how she never got tired of him doing that. Squeezing back, she made the slight effort of a mumbled: “Hello.” through her small smile. The moment leaving the common room had almost knocked her back with the deep wave of deja vu, until she realized that it had been in a very similar setting that she stood there for the first time, perplexed that someone like Fabian Prewett was bothering with her for a date. Of course it was turning to Autumn then… it would always be her favorite season because of that. It’s also the best season to borrow Fabian’s clothes. Of course, there was the matter of Summer, in which she could test that assumption… she almost laughed at herself for thinking so much into the context of ‘the best time to wear my boyfriend’s clothes’.
It was nice to have the chance to have a date. A real one, especially with how busy she’d been lately… or how busy she had made herself. She shoved that thought away and inched herself just slightly closer so she could broaden her smile specifically for him. “What are you thinking you have planned for us on this evening?”
“Well,” He said with a smile, beginning to walk with her down the corridor. “I still can’t tell you that.” He winked slyly at her as he led her through the halls, a smile never leaving his lips. He always smiled around her. She just made him incredibly happy.
It didn’t take long for them to walk and make it to the stairs leading to the great hall. They walked up those like normal, and he turned, leading her outside. He had decided that it was a nice night outside, and when they stepped out the doors, his decision seemed like it was a good one. The sky slowly turning to orange through the sunset and there was a warmth in the air that wasn’t uncomfortable. “Did I tell you that you look beautiful today?” He said out of the blue in the comfortable silence between then as they walked. He kissed her cheek quickly as he smiled at her. They kept walking.

Fabian had his hands shoved into his pockets as he strode up to the entrance of the Hufflepuff common room, leaning against the wall across from the doorway. It was almost like that first night he picked up Hestia for their first date, except this time, there were no nerves, no sweaty palms and no worries that she wasn’t going to walk out of that common room, looking wonderful as ever. This time, he had a whole different slew of emotions. Most of those were happy. Happy because he just loved to watch his girlfriends face when he surprised her. The way her face lit up in excitement because the surprise was for her, and no one else. It was just one of the many things he loves about her.
He had realized earlier that day that he hadn’t taken her out on a proper date in a while. Their Sunday’s together could be considered dates, but he preferred to just think of it as spending as much time with the woman he loves as he possibly can while he can. Sundays were one of his favourite days, but he still felt like Hestia should be taken on a real date, so when he came up with an idea for one, he decided to do it.
He stood outside her common room, hands in his pockets and his back against the wall, the same way he always waited for her. When he saw the door to the common room open, and Hestia clamber out, he walked over to her and did something he never got tired of. He kissed her deeply, catching one of her hands in his. He pulled back after a moment before whispering to her softly “I forgot to do that earlier”. He squeezed her hand softly as he smiled at her. “Hi.”
-smiling- Do I get any sort of hints at all?
-le quick kiss- Nope. I’ll be outside your common room at 8 tonight, alright?
